for as long as anyone can remember, ioann has been a tactless and devoutly cynical fey. he has little patience for people with a lower attention span than him (which tends to be a lot, considering regular people pay attention to normal things. the one time that he did let himself become affectionate for a mortal, even going so far as falling in love with him, a deep-rooted betrayal threatened the safety of his court, and ioann was forced to kill the one that claimed to have once loved him. nowadays, he's teching psychology at the unova academy.
so let's see here; friends may be a little difficult for ioann, since he doesn't really see the value in having friends. polite acquaintances? certainly. but it would take a lot for him to actually consider someone a friend, and when they are friends with him, they've got a friend for life. when it comes to enemies, however, these are far more likely. generally ruthless and cynical, he has a sharp tongue and seems to be missing that thing that tells people when to shut up. he tends to sort of go forward with whatever he's thinking. lovers is already taken up by eli; sorry everyone. ♥

so my personal headcanon is that stefan does have a few contacts among unova's facility for monitoring purposes. that is, he likes to keep abreast of particularly promising apprentices and possible risk cases among the supernatural. a fae is pretty promising for noticing both. he won't be above slipping io a few bribes or promising not to have hades (alias for his coven) interfere in his court's affairs (no promises if they go on a rampage in human society, though).

um all of this yes please. ioann's general distaste for humanity would lead him to be very indifferent and probably more than a little snarky to stefan all the time, but he's smart and stefan's smart and so he wouldn't be the kind of guy to pass up a deal like this. c: he would definitely take advantange of this! |

stefan can get snarky too, but he knows when to keep it down to when it's appropriate lol. never far enough to wound a fae's pride too much. he's got more common sense than that.
